. If you have millions of followers on Twitter, you have the opportunity to send messages to your followers instantly. To harness the power of Twitter, make sure you attract as many followers as possible. Here are some tips you can follow to gain more followers:

Fill in the information on your profile account- make sure that you have interesting information in your Twitter profile so that when people check it out, they will be enticed to follow you.

Choose a short and interesting Twitter name- choose an account name that represents your business well. Make sure that your Twitter name is also short so that it will be easy for peopleto retweet you. Retweeting is the process of reposting someone's message. When people retweet a message, your Twitter name will appear in their Twitter stream. When your message is retweeted, the Twitter name is included in the 140 character limit. If you have a very long Twitter name, your messages might get cut-off when retweeted.

Promote your Twitter account every opportunity you get- place links to your Twitter account in all your blogs, websites, articles, business cards and other places. This will help people find your Twitter account easily.

Follow people who might be interested to follow you too- use the search engine to search for keywords and then check out the people who have these keywords in their streams. Add the people who might be interested in following you for they might become your followers too.
