, Auckland airport has never looked better. It is of no surprise then that Auckland airport has been receiving much attention from the media, with industry and consumer accolades coming their way. In the independent Skytrax World Airport Awards 2009, the airport was voted as the best airport in the Australia Pacific region and ranked as the tenth best in the world. The redevelopment has seen it rise from 20th position in 2008, and represents a massive improvement in passenger experience. In November of this year, further recognition of the airport's outstanding achievements were presented at the 2009 World Travel Awards in London, where again it was voted Australasias leading airport.
