The current Audi A4 model (2008 onwards) is built on a variant of the Audi Modular

Longitudinal Platform, a platform which is also used in the Audi A5 coupe. The new A4 has increased in wheelbase by 160 millimetres and in length by 117 millimetres over the previous A4 model.

As is a given with Audi, the A4 is very well refined, in the cabin everything looks very well put together and the attention to detail is exceptional. On the move there is little road noise audible from within, but the large wing mirrors do produce some wind noise.

The A4 is also class leading when it comes to safety features, with six airbags and stability control as standard. Rear side airbags are available as an option, as are lane-departure- and blind spot-warning systems. Deadlocks and an alarm are fitted as standard to guard against break-ins and theft.
