In 1998 Audi released the Audi TT, a two door compact sports car. The TT is built in Hungary, it is now in its second generation of production. Audi produced the TT in 2 body styles, a 2+2 coupe and a two seater roadster.
The TT looks amazing; it has inherited Audi's cutting edge looks with sharp lines and crisp angles. The TT is as good to drive as it is to look at, it is beautifully built. The cheaper models of the TT are also very affordable to own.
The Audi TT is available in 3 petrol engine choices, all three are turbo charged. There is the 208bhp 2.0-litre, the 270bhp 2.0 TTS and the 335bhp five-cylinder TT RS. Surprisingly the TT is also available in a diesel 2.0 litre 168 bhp engine. All 4 engines have a 6 speed manual gearbox as standard, as an optional extra they are also available with the excellent S tronic six speed semi automatic gearbox.
All models of the TT come with 4 wheel drive as standard except the lower powered 2.0 petrol which is available as a front wheel drive as well. As you would expected from a sports coupe/roadster the TT handles the roads very well, it is a firm ride but still very comfortable.
An Audi dealer has reported that sales of the Audi TT in Whittington Moor continue to grow; the second generation which was released in 2006 has helped to maintain sales and even grow them in such difficult economical conditions.
