Australian Immigration Ielts Requirement 2012
Australian Immigration IELTS Requirement 2012 establishes one fact quite concretely
that aussie government is seriously thinking of providing qualified and ready to integrate workforce to different component sectors of its economy. Migrants are lining up for Aussie shores as its economy expands further. Global crunch did have an impact on this country but it was limited to only international commerce.
Domestically most of its sectors have taken gigantic proportions, which resulted in an unprecedented rise in demand for trained expertise in domestic labor pool. This has forced authorities to re-plan their immigration strategies and design a skills migration policy that can effectively serve each criteria of requirement of labor and effectively address demands of various sectors. Linguistic competence forms an integral part of migrants ability to integrate into the local environment and surroundings.
Early adapting means rapid involvement into economic activities and thus faster results and yields. Over the years it had been constantly observed that people who were entering just on basis of qualifications minus linguistic skills were facing serious issues as their lack of communication skills presented them with hurdles in getting appropriate employment. As the government does not guarantee jobs via immigration these people were left on their own and had to look for alternative sources of employment in areas other than their expertise.
On the hand the employment giving concerns expressed their disability to employ these people for their lack of communication skills. These factors made whole exercise of selectively picking migrants futile. Although linguistic skills were given some weightage in old system and IELTS Requirement for Australia was there, but this factor was somehow not allotted priority on a level that would have been deemed to be sufficient.
In 2012 Australia Immigration Ielts Requirement has been taken up seriously and instead of asking for an overall score in all areas of linguistic skills (i.e. speaking, writing, comprehension and listening) priority and emphasis has been laid on individual scores in each of modules (areas of linguistic proficiency).
Many of the linguistic skills have been effectively linked to the trades that are indicated in
skilled trade lists i.e. SOL and Consolidated SOL. Whenever aspirants decide to file EOI it becomes imperative for them to also check on details of linguistic skills level.
Migrants filing for professional and highly technical trades or higher level involving higher degree of public interaction need to substantiate a higher level of English proficiency (band 7 and higher are deemed appropriate in these cases).
The point evaluation system has also incorporated new strategy of granting higher scores to people with higher bands which is in agreement with
