The single was released in 2002. The song performed well internationally, making it their best selling single to date. The song hit the charts in countries across Europe, including Switzerland, Italy, and especially in France where it would stay in the top spot for seven weeks.

The band consists for four members. Anthony Romeo Santos is the lead singer. Other bandmates include Lenny, Max and Henry Santos, each on various instruments.

Aventura, a Dominican-American based group, began in the Bronx and experimented with a hip hop, bachata and R&B fusioin. They recorded their first album in 1995. Their most recent album was released in 2011, under the title Grandes Exitos (named The Last in English). The title of their latest album is revealing, as it was also announced as their last album, as the band would split up to pursue their own solo careers.

R&B and pop artist Jojo recorded the Baby Its You lyrics on her first self-titled album. The lyrics themselves are about a girl who doesnt care about material excess and fame, and wants only love. The song features young rapper Lil Bow Bow (with age, he would omit the Lil part of his name).

Jojo started her career at a very young age, becoming a teeny-bopper star at only 13 and attaining her first top song on the Billboard charts. Her single Leave (Get Out) combined hip-hop, R&B and pop in a way that made it accessible to youth and radio-friendly.

The Boston native discovered her talent for singing early on when singing for her church choir. She later dipped her feet in the waters while local theater shows before her family would migrate to Los Angeles to try her luck at fame.

Her precociousness was appealing enough to get her a spot on Bill Cosbys Kids Say the Darndest Things and the show Americas Most Talented Kid. The latter show exposed her to a music producer who would take her under her wing and record her first album, which would turn her into a star.
