While trampoline is a source of excitement and fun for kids and adults alike, there's no question that it also invites serious injuries. According to a research done by major insurance and medical agencies, an estimated 50,000 injuries are reported annually due to trampoline activities. While that is no laughing matter, it is always important to ensure safety when engaging in any trampoline activity. Here is a simple ABC to avoid ending up in the emergency room due to trampoline injuries.

A. Follow basic safety measures in using the trampoline. Now, this doesn't only include checking if there're exposed springs, cut in the mesh, or open hooks. Make sure to use a trampoline nets and padding and place the trampoline away from any play area, pools, structures, public streets and roads, trees and any other buildings.

B. Limit the number of persons using the trampoline. The idea of having a lot of children bouncing on the equipment is a lot of fun however, it's dreadful to see them running to each other and end up getting injured. So, to be safe, make sure that there are only a limited number of people bouncing together on the trampoline. If needed, allow only one to two persons at a time to use the equipment.

C. Adult supervision is required. It is always important to keep an eye on to your children while they're playing on the trampoline. There's no more effective safety precaution than to watch your children carefully while they're enjoying the fun of bouncing on the equipment. More often than not, injuries happen when no adult is supervising the activity.
