Ayurveda stresses physical activity as the most important activity that one can undertake to reduce obesity. One can take long walks either in the evening or in the morning. Morning walks are however suggested in ayurveda to be the best as it freshens the body for the whole day. Try avoiding transport like a car or a bus when going out to buy something. Instead try walking this will help the body to burn the extra fat that would be deposited.

Yoga, Outdoor sports are tested calorie burners which will keep the body in shape, excrete harmful chemicals out of the body, retain the tone of the skin and get better sleep.

Avoid sleeping in the afternoon. Sleeping in the afternoon helps building up calories in the body which take the from of fats and result in obesity. Try to sleep for less hours and keep your sleeping timings under control strictly.

Consumption of honey is recommended for non diabetic people as honey is helpul in dissolving the excessive fats of the body. Avoid rice and increase the intake of wheat products. Food and beverages rich in carbohydrate, oil and sugar should be avoided as they increase the body fat. Green gram and horse gram is recommended in ayurveda as a part of meal.
