BBQ - STUFF IT

BBQ - STUFF IT

BBQ - STUFF IT

The other day I was thinking about making a nice family meal for the weekend, and was pondering what exactly to make. I knew that we would probably have people coming in and out of the house throughout the evening, so I wanted to make something that was large, but not to expensive. In the past my go-to options would include a nice boneless pork roast or even a roast beef. BBQ isn't always easy, mainly because we get bored of cooking the same things over and over again. I knew that more than likely upon my return from the store, I would have either a pork or beef roast in hand. I was not at all excited.

As I am getting ready to head to the store, I hear this loud yell from the window of the house..STUFF IT!...I said what......? what did I do? Then, I hear it again...JUST STUFF IT! . Oh, what a great idea. Instantly the frown on my face from cooking the same ole stuff had turned into a grin of endless possibilities. I was like a kid with all options open. But what would I do.

Luckily for me, I had about a 20 minute car ride to the store, and it gave me ample time to think this recipe out. As I got closer to the store, it hit me, I would do a BBQ stuffed pork loin. You may think that this has been done before, but I had a real twist on this one. Here is what I was thinking.

For starters, I wanted theBBQ flavor to be tasted throughout every bite. I know there are plenty of marinades and other ways to get flavor in your meat, but they never really work. The true way to get a nice BBQ flavor into every bite is to stuff it. So here is the trick.

After you pick up your pork roast, go to the boxed stuffing aisle. Here you can pick up any type you like. Make sure its one that will go with whatever you are stuffing. Now here is the twist. Make up your box stuffing according to the directions, once finished, add 1/2 cup BBQ sauce to the stuffing. Mix this all in and now stuff your pork. What you now have created is a BBQ stuffing that is to die for. Now take your pork and roll it up and either grill it or bake it. Once done let the pork rest for 30 minutes before slicing and serve. You won't believe the aroma that will come from the stuffing.

So the next time you are looking for something different to do with your roast or bird.....

JUST STUFF IT!

Eat Well!
