BDP-S570 Reviews What The Buyers Say About the Sony BluRay Disc Player
Launched in 2010 the BDP-S570 Blu-ray disc player from Sony has had some very good reviews in the specialist media but how is it holding up with the actual users?
Author note: As with many home gadgets the prices and specs tend to fluctuate, for up to date information click the link at the bottom. Regards Dave
I have delved into the BDP-S570 reviews to get an idea of how this disc player is being received by the buying public and the results are fairly promising.
First a quick overview of the features of the BDP-S570:

Power Up Time: 4 secs appx

Types of Discs Supported: BD-R/RE, DVD+R/+RW, DVD-R/-RW, Dual layer DVD+R/-R, DVD-RW VR mode
The BDP S570 delivers a very good picture with Blu-Ray discs and standard DVDs are given a good treatment so picture quality is not an issue.
Connectivity is also very good with optical digital and analogue co-ax as well as two USB ports for linking up to other component for transferring media.
The WiFi feature is an excellent addition as it can save an awful mess of cabling at the rear of the box or indeed leads trailing across the floor. This certainly neatens up the appearance of the TV room.
By using the WiFi or the standard ethernet connection you are able to access all sorts of media online such as YouTube etc and watching online programs is a snp compared to sitting in front of a computer screen.
Power up time from switch to disc tray opening is around the four second mark and disc loading goes from appx 13 seconds for a standard disc up to appx, 16 seconds for a Blu_Ray. This is better than most players out there although any thing up to around twenty seconds is acceptable to most people.
BDP S570 Reviews By The Buyers
Ok, so we pop over to Amazon and have a look at what the users are saying:
Looking at the stats today we have 133 BDP-S570 reviews and over half are rating the Sony player at 5, and a further 25 have given it a 4 star rating. This is very good and gives us an idea of what actual buyers think of it.
William says: "The sony BDP S570 is a great player. The fast load system is excellent and much faster than the older 300s models. The setup was easy (it walks you through each step) I use the wireless N router and the speeds are awesome"
But Christopher says:"
It took several days to get it to work because it is designed by SONY to work in a network environment that possesses no security protection. This device needs access to any IP address and any port at any IP address."
These are just two BDP S570 reviews from either end of the scale and it shows how user experience can differ but on the whole the buying public do seem more than happy with the Sony BDP S570 Blu Ray disc player.
