BMW 7 series models to have Navigation Professional system from November 1st

BMW Navigation Professional to be launched by BMW India, will be incorporated in all BMW 7 series from November 1st, 2010. The new feature BMW Navigation Professional is inclusive of all the board systems. The all purpose BMW Navigation Professional works from the iDrive control affixed with Global Positioning System (GPS), also having a coloured display high resolution of 10.2 inches, rear set navigation control and instrument cluster. The iDrive controller comes direct selection buttons, the system supports Hard Disc which comes with 12 GB memory, the BMW Radio Professional comes with tuner, split screen functions and more. Dr. Andreas Schaaf, the President of BMW India said that, the luxury car was the first in Europe to come with integrated navigation system in series rolled out in the year 1994. The system proved to be a milestone and was base for the other new high tech systems. He happily added, that BMW India, is a luxury in itself and is continuously looking for upgrading the product. The new technology BMW Navigation Professional will be installed in BMW 7 series flagship versions. The new system is user friendly, for instance, the facility of entering the PIN, knowing the former destinations, and more. The easy to handle Navigation Professional system directs the user quickly to the options by entering the destination with the help of iDrive or voice control which comes as an option. GPS gives the current location automatically, it can also guide the driver step by step towards the most appropriate route. Instructions are clear and easy to follow directed with the help of arrows and are audible too. The new technology helps you to digitally view the map with zoom function. The system is affixed with the facility of all the details of the dealerships of BMW India. It will also help the customers with aftersales services. BMW has extensive plans to capture the market as early as possible and make profit from the increasing demand of the luxury sedans. The BMW Chennai plant manufactures the BMW 3 and BMW 5 series in both petrol and diesel engines. The plant can manufacture 5400 units every year. The company will soon start the production of BMW X1, by the end of this year.
