BP Announced the Oil Leak in the Gulf has been Stopped
BP is in the process of working on the drilling of two relief wells to intersect the leaking well. Early this week the blowout preventers on the relief wells were experiencing problems. Since a faulty blowout preventer has been implicated as a cause of the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon oil rig, work on the relief wells were halted. BP has now fixed the problems and they have passed new testing. The work on the relief wells is anticipated to be completed by the middle of August. Then the clean-up begins.
