After you have received help from one of these clinics it is time for your to start being responsible and grow up enough to be a parent to your baby. A lot of these clinics offer parenting classes so these women can learn how to properly care for their baby and keep their baby healthy. Newborns have an immune system that is not as strong as ours so we have to keep them away from germs and viruses.
Be sure to feed your baby from a bottle that has been sterilized along with a sterilized bottle nipple. Breast feeding can be healthy for your baby but only if the mother is healthy and drug free.
If you have used drugs during your pregnancy you need to be honest with the doctor so that will be better prepared to take care of your baby once it is born. Addiction does not make someone a bad person or even a bad mother if just means they are sick and need help.
