The majestic mountain of Kedarnath stands on the mountain as one of the 12 Jyotirlinga of Kedar or Lord Shiva. The temple is located at the altitude of 3584 meters at the start of river Mandakiniis the temple of Kedarnath which is the most sacred destination of Hindus. The sight of lofty peaks of Kedarnath which is the most sacred destination for Hindus.

The temple of Kedarnath is established by Adi Shankaracharya in 8th century which is constructed adjecent to the temple built by Pandavas. The assembly hall is decorated with the pictures of various deities and also the popular scenes of mythology. Outside the temple there is the huge image of Nandi bull as the guard.
