Bakugan Costumes For Both Boys and Girls
Who said that Bakugan costumes were only for boys
? Who said that only boys love Bakugan? That should not be. After all, games are supposed to be for fun, and for both boys and girls. Bakugan should not be any different. There are a lot of girls who play the game and even a lot more who love collecting Bakugan. So having a costume of a Bakugan character should also be a concern for girls who love the products and the game.
There's a problem here, however. The Bakugan costumes that are available online and off are that of the male characters. There are three so far: Dan's outfit, Shun's outfit, and the Dragonoid costume.
Dan's outfit is a set consisting of a red short-sleeved jacket, a yellow undershirt, a pair of red and black long pants, and a pair of fingerless black gloves. Shun's outfit is a set consisting of a brown and gray jumpsuit with a purple jacket. There's also a pair of fingerless black gloves with a wristband and a fabric watch. The Dragonoid costume is different, precisely because this costume takes after a Bakugan and not a person. The costume is a red and gold jumpsuit with shoulder armor and detachable wings. There's also a plastic mask that completes the Dragonoid effect.
These costumes target boys more than they do girls. Dan, Shun, and Drago are all males, and therefore boys would be rushing more for these costumes than girls would.
But there's nothing wrong with girls dressing up as guy characters during Halloween, or during any costume parties. This is the beauty of costume parties, dressing up as someone else! Plus, the Bakugan costumes are can indeed be worn by girls. A little tomboyish getup during the Halloween is not unheard of.
Another solution to this problem would be to make our own costumes of the female characters in the akugan series. Some of the female characters' outfits are easy to find or easy to make. Runo's, Julie's, and Alice's outfits can be made from what clothes your daughter already owns. All you need to do is make some alterations here and there to match the character's outfit in the animated television series. The outfits of the other female characters may be harder to make, but only a little. Mylene's and Mira's outfits , from the second season of Bakugan, will need a lot of sewing and craftwork, but these are not impossible to do. Fabia's outfit and Julie's outfit from the third season is also easy to make and just needs some alteration, while you may need some more time to work on Kazarina's (also from the third season).
No matter which character your son or daughter wants to be this Halloween, or any costume party, let him or her be him, or her, or it. There are Bakugan costumes available online and on stores that sell Bakugan products. You can also opt to make the costumes yourself. Either way, there'll always be Bakugan costumes available for both boys and girls.
