Since bamboos grow abundantly in tropical countries, the locals have discovered ways on how to use the grass. They use the bamboo to create items such as the window coverings as well as materials in constructing structures like huts.

In the US, bamboo shades are not completely made of bamboo. There are other light materials that were used like jute, rattan and grass. There are, however, drawbacks in buying bamboo shades. One problem with these shades is their materials. Since the shades are created using light materials and usually come in strips of wood, they can get torn easily. Cleaning them is also hard especially if the shades have dust on it. In addition, bamboo shades have limited colors than other shades.

In getting a bamboo shade, ask a professional first to know what shade would look great in your house. Shades have different kinds like fold up and roll up. You just have to choose what is perfect for your house. Bamboo shades are best in giving a touch of nature in your home without caring much about maintenance.
