Sarees has been an inevitable part of Indian culture

There are mainly four different types of banarasi saree available in the market. Katan is a type of saree which is pure silk, Organza sarees which is fine kora with zari accompanied with silk works, Shattir and Geogette. In the town of Varanasi the manufacturing of sarees is the most important occupation of people.

During the Mughal era the banarasi sarees were manufactured by the raw materials from china. Today we dont have to import silk from china as India produces more silk than china. Sericulture is much popular in many areas of India including Bangalore. Colorful dying of the silk is the first process of making a banarasi saree. There silk are then transported to the weavers where they are formed to their basic structure. Banarasi sarees are well known for their artistic designs. Developing of Naksha Patta is the first process involving the manufacture of silk. For creating Naksha Patta the artist draws the graph paper with color concepts. Nature has been one of the most popular themes of these designs. In modern times, machine drawing has been come into existence but they dont have that ascetic beauty delivered by the traditional ones. The craft men will be highly experienced and hence they always give high quality stuff.

In past these sarees used to have designs made out of pure gold and silver. The craftsman had spent more than a year to manufacture a single saree. There sarees with their mesmerizing art works could catch the eye of anyone. The cost of such sarees could range from thousands to Lakhs. Now also silk sarees are an inevitable part in Hindu wedding in India, especially south India. Banarasi sarees has been popular throughout the country. They are the main attractions in many fashion shows. Popular fashion designers are doing experiments with the saree and are successful in getting an International reputation for these sarees. From Delhi to Paris they will be the keep attraction of any fashion shows. Indian community is present in almost every part of the world, so as these high profile sarees.
