The hit model car from Tata Motors, the Tata Indica Vista
. also made its way to charm the Thai people in its Bangkok invasion. Tata Motors recently unveiled the electric version of the Indica Vista car at the ongoing Thailand International Motors Expo. With it, the company also unveiled the latest variant of the Ace pickup truck named Super Ace City Giant. The two model cars were displayed by the car maker and caught most peoples attention and praises in the car expo.
The Tata Indica Vista Electric is packed with a lithium ion battery and assures coverage of 200 km on a single full charge. This is the first car model that arrived out of the collaboration of Tata Motors European Technical Center and Mijo Greenland (TMETC). The company Mijo Greenland is a Norwegian company. The pick up shows 0-100 km/h in just 10 seconds.
The Tata Indica Vista Electric is presently under the testing process by Tata Motors in Europe. The prototype of the Indica Vista EV model, Indica EVX has already been participated at the Royal Automobile Club Challenge. This is a race where different car manufacturers participate to the race that starts from Brighton to London. The race is considered a good platform not just to showcase latest creations but as well as to test the performance of car models in comparison to other cars of the same genre.
Other expected product for consumers to wait from Tata Motors is the Super Ace City Giant. It is a 1 tonne pick up truck which is loaded with 1.4L diesel engine. The powerful engine of the car can generate 70 bhp power and 14kgm of beating torque. For Tata Motors, 2010 has been a good year for them. They were able to sell 4, 225 units of the pick up trucks in Thailand and with this new launch, the company is still expecting for the sales to shoot higher next year.
Tata Motors in Thailands figure for January up to October of this year is quite impressive and so they aim to grab five percent share of the Thai pick up market within a five year period. Presently, the market share of two percent in 2010 has been achieved in the second year of their operations.
