Banner Design and Marketing
You will hear a lot of people saying that banner designing and marketing is the thing of the past. Today, SEO, PPC and Social Media rock, so no need to go for this obsolete method to promote your business, because you will only end up wasting your time and money. Due to this thought, a lot of people now refrain from banner advertisement to market their products and services. Is this thought correct that marketing via banners is no longer effective? Is it true that we should look for other methods to promote our products and services?
Well, I certainly don't think so that banner advertisement is the thing of the past. It's not obsolete either. It may not be as famous as it was before, but marketing via banners is something still being used by businesses around the globe. One thing we need to realize here is that if our SEO, PPC and Social Media campaigns are not well planned out, then they will fail as well. Launching a campaign does not make a campaign successful. It's the research work done before and proper implementation of the plan that makes a campaign a huge success.
When it comes to marketing via banners, there are several things you have to analyze to ensure that your campaign gives you the desired results. If you don't come up with a good plan, it will fail just as your PPC campaign will fail without a good plan.
Now, the first thing that you need to do is to come up with an attractive banner design to promote your business professionally and attractively. To do that, you will of course need to hire an experienced and creative designer. Remember, if your banner is not eye-catching, people won't take notice of it and, consequently, no one would want to click on your banner. As a result, you won't be able to drive any traffic to your website and your efforts will be wasted completely. So, to prevent this from happening, make sure that your designer comes up with an attractive and creative banner design.
Other than designing an attractive banner, you need to also write attractive content for your banner. Make sure it's concise and powerful. It should be able to grab the attention of readers instantly. Don't write long paragraphs or stories. You need to keep the text as short as possible and as attractive and catchy as possible. It will take some time before you come up with quality content for your banner, but to make your campaign a success, you should not rush.
Now, the next thing is to find vertical portals relevant to your products or services. You must advertise on a site that has products similar to yours, because this way you will be able to drive targeted traffic to your website. If you advertise on a website where your target market doesn't go, you won't be able to bring any visitors to your site. Even if you do bring some visitors, they all will be irrelevant.
So, the bottom line is, banner advertisement is still effective if done correctly.
