. My Product management we mean keeping a track of inventory flow within your shop. Previously shop owners kept a manual count of each product they put on the shelf for customers. This was a very time taking process and there were huge risks involved. Some of the major road blocks were theft and shop lifting, unmanaged inventory, no records of products nearing expiry dates or expired products etc. The most important problem was that the shop owners were not in a position to keep a tab on products that sell the most.

Scanning the barcode provides complete information about its manufacturing date, expiry date, weight, cost, batch number etc. In the modern era Bar code with printed labels are widely used on all kinds of products. From fixtures to furniture, merchandise to machines, anything packed is ready with a Bar code label and a printed label.

A barcode is a series of straight parallel lines with variation in thickness and separated by blank spaces. These lines are generally black in color which can be coded using different coding patterns for bar code. These barcodes labels uniquely define and separate any product on the basis of huge information data they have within themselves in just a small size. The data is fed at the manufacturing unit and a Barcode is created. Each barcode stands for a separate product code also called unit number or batch number. As soon as the barcode label is scanned the computer I able to display the data stored within the barcode thus making it very easy to gather all information quickly.
