Barratt Homes Unveils Marketing Suite At Stanmore Luxury Homes Development

Barratt Homes has now officially launched the marketing suite at one of its most

luxurious development in the country, Bentley Priory in Stanmore, North London. Over 100 prospective buyers attended the opening weekend to discover more about the company's plans for the prestigious site, with five even taking the plunge and reserving a home there.

Brendon O'Neill, Managing Director for Barratt North London, says: "It is a hugely important and exciting time for us to be commencing the sales of new homes at Bentley Priory. To have sold five properties already is extremely encouraging and we have many more appointments booked; all from purchasers hoping to secure one of the luxury new homes in what can only be described as a truly magnificent location."

Barratt Homes will be constructing 89 new homes at the development, which is a project being undertaken jointly with restoration specialists City & Country Group. The latter company will be restoring the 17th-century mansion house to former glories and converting it into 18 spectacular apartments. Barratt is undertaking the new-build element, constructing 89 sympathetically designed new homes in the extensive grounds. Each will feature a truly impressive amount of space and the very best internal specification.

With prices starting at 1.05 million for a two-bedroom apartment and 1.8 million for a four-bedroom townhouse, there has already been considerable interest in these North London new homes, as Brendan explains: "We are attracting interest from a wide range of purchasers and most notably from downsizers who are aware of the prestige and history associated with Bentley Priory. However we have also received much interest from overseas purchasers due to the convenient proximity of Bentley Priory to central London and international airports."

Bentley Priory's mansion house has welcomed numerous famous guests over the centuries, including politicians, nobility and royalty. Perhaps its finest hour came in World War Two, when the estate served as headquarters for Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain. This historic connection was marked by a rare Spitfire fly-past when the Bentley Priory scheme was launched this summer.

The setting at the top of Stanmore Hill provides residents with a fantastic panorama of London as well as a number of listed buildings and gardens on site that will be restored to exceptional standards. The development is conveniently located for Tube journeys into Central London and Docklands on the Jubilee Line and also by road to the M1 and M25. The airports at Heathrow and Luton are both around half an hour away and Stansted is about 50 minutes' drive from the development.
