Baseball Season And That Very First Game

There's nothing quite like the crack of the bat

, a crowd cheering, and a hot dog during the seventh inning stretch. Yes, baseball season offers us a segment of bliss during the spring and summer months where we can sit in the sun, yell at grown men, and live and die by our teams. We are the baseball fans that sit in the rain, the odd April snow shower, and the heat of mid-August and we are teaching new generations to appreciate the great sport of baseball like our parents did before us.

Baseball is more than a sport, it's a way of enjoying the spring and summer, getting closer to our families by rooting for our teams, and meeting new friends. I can still remember my first baseball game and it is a wonderful memory. I even still have the Braves ticket stub. Shouldn't you be working on giving a similar memory to someone special in your life?

A lot of people prefer to watch the game on television or listen to the commentary on the radio because they claim that tickets are too pricey these days. It's true that there are some places that will rake you over the coals for a pair of seats on the third base line, but there are others where you can get Atlanta Braves tickets or Tampa Bay Rays tickets without having to empty your wallet.

Getting tickets for a fair and lower price leaves you more opportunities to enjoy the game. For example, I don't feel like it's a baseball game until I get a hot dog and a beverage and we all know how expensive ball park franks can be! You can use the money you saved on the tickets to chow down! You can also get some souvenirs. I still have the hat from my first game.

For adults, baseball is a way of unwinding and enjoying ourselves. It's important for us to impart that to the next generation so they can feel the same way some sunny day. For kids, they'll always remember sitting in the sunshine with their father, mother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, or family friend enjoying a baseball game and rooting on their favorite team. Even if they don't win, you'll have instilled a life-long memory in them and given them a passion for the game that will extend far into adulthood. That's worth the price of any Braves ticket.
