Most of the players had to quit the game as the had responsibility to serve in the war. Due to it many minor leagues were disbanded , as the game seemed to loose it's existence.
But after the war the game again picked it's pace and popularity .In fact this glorious game stormed every nook and corner of America. Game became more disciplined and separate leagues for blacks and whites were abolished .
The form in which we see this game today is probably the result of right and stern action taken simultaneously!
