5. Motherboard - This is the main circuit board that has the complete components for a computer system.
6. Hard drive - This is the storage unit where most computer information is stored.
7. CD/DVD drive - This is the part of the computer that is able to read data stored on a CD/DVD.
8. Graphic card - This is what converts digital information into visual information utilizing devices like the monitor.
9. Sound card - In order for a computer to produce sound that you can heard it needs a card that will carry the audio signal to your speakers.
10. Power unit - This is what gives the computer the essential power it needs to run.
11. Monitor - This is the large screen that you look at every time you get on the computer.
12. Keyboard - This is how you communicate with the computer to get it to do what you want it to.
13. Mouse - This is the pointing device that you use to navigate on the computer.
Now that you know all of these basic parts of a computer, you have a much better understanding of how your computer operates to let you use it effectively.
