Birthdays are one of the occasions our families never fail to celebrate especially when one is turning into its golden years specifically our parents
. Every year celebrated, turns out to be a joy that the Lord up above has blessed another year to celebrate with your dear love ones.
My mother is going to celebrate her 73rd birthday. She seems so excited for her day to come. I was wondering if I would reach the age she will be turning with the same smile and glow and with the same excitement she has today. I wonder.
I was thinking of what gift I would give my beloved mother. She is my one and only mother, the best mother in the whole world. I would love to give her the best gift ever. I was thinking of cards. But for sure her grandchildren and the children in our neighborhood would surely give her cards. Flowers were an option too. But then a lot will give her that. It is one of the common gifts she has received from friends and some relatives too as flowers is one of her many passion. I thought of books. She has read a lot and I don't think she has plan of reading one thick card/paper back as she is very much occupied with her stitching. Stitch materials are a big no as my brother is planning to give her that too. He had announced long before with the fear that someone might give the same and he always want the place of the being the number son.
As my mind had been wandering for days already on what to gift my most loved mother, I came upon a cute store in the corner of our t block. The window glass shows wonderful unique items. They were cute crafts great for a gift. There would something in there for my mother.
When I went inside, the window chime sounded. The sound was so heavenly that it really invited me in. I looked around and everywhere. All the items there were so lovely and cute. They are all home made crafts. I am so sure my mother will love this.
Among the items I saw one basket so vintage and lovely. I remember my mother and her stitching hobby. The basket was so neatly done. It is craft that I appreciated so much. It is made from tiny lagoons colored entwined and colored. Flowers made from barks and hand painted were also decorated on it . It is so perfect for a gift.
I was thinking that it would cost a lot but my mother is worth much more than it will cost. I have decided whatever rate it has, I will purchase it. To my surprise it came in discounted. This discounted craft is the best gift I give my mother on her birthday.
