Bathing Suits For 2013: Same Again Or Something New?

Have you ever noticed just how difficult it is becoming to stay up to date with the changing styles and fashions

? Not so many years ago you would just have a look at the few fashion magazines that were being published, and select something from one of the two or three designers that they featured for the coming season; these day's things have become far more complicated.

If you are trying to find out what's going to be hot in bathing suits for 2013, you have to do a little bit more research than just flicking through a couple of magazines. There has been a boom in the numbers of talented new designers, and now that fashion houses no longer have a monopoly on what will be on the shop floors for summer, it can be a little hard to know what will be in, and what might be classed as being a touch eccentric when it comes to your beach or pool wear.

Of course, if you want to wow people, and remove yourself from the mainstream fashion that everyone will be sporting this summer, then finding a new designer is going to have you looking like you know something that the rest of the world doesn't; and it isn't difficult to find these break through designers.

One of the first things you can do (if you want to narrow the search a little) is to have a certain style of beachwear in mind. Maybe you feel that now is the time to cover up a little more, or you want to move away from the one-piece that you seem to wear each year, and look at a Brazilian cut. Perhaps you want to go from something a little bit more "cutesy" than you would normally wear, and a nautical themed swimsuit would fit the bill.

Naturally, though, limiting the style will limit the designers and ranges open to you, and where's the fun in not seeing everything that's on show this year?

Once you have something in mind, then you should start having a look for small, designer style, boutique shops online. Many of these businesses will be more prepared to look for new designers so that their business stands out from the rest but there are a number of larger companies that are more than willing to try out the ranges of designers who you may not have heard of, yet.

Now you'll be at the stage where your dress sense is bombarded with a range of cuts, colors, and patterns that will have you wondering why you went with the "big name" designers for as long as you have not that there's anything wrong with them, but don't you find that they are now starting to become far more conventional than you'd want in a swimsuit that you're going to be spending so much time in?

When it comes to bathing suits for 2013, there will be the inevitable selections waiting for you in the local stores, but if you want to create your own statement this summer, then think outside of the box, give the next Betsey Johnson or Agua Bendita a chance.
