Luminaires are essentially light fixtures that illuminate dwellings at night

A lighting fixture is available for both indoor and outdoor use. Outdoor lighting assembly is typically water proof and less complex in terms of design. These light fittings are installed in pathway, garden, swimming pool and gate.

However, indoor light fixtures are available in ornate and complex assemblies. These are available in contemporary and classic versions.

Vanity lights and scones are some of the popular bathroom light fittings. Bathroom Lighting is generally styled in brass or wrought iron. The lamps are covered with ornamental shades made of glass, marble glass, clear ribbed glass, milky white glass and floral glass. These glass coverings provide just the right brightness and also enhance the beauty of the bathroom.

On the other hand Medium Base Bathroom Lights typically have screw-in type bulb, which allows manufacturers to offer many styles of light fittings; some wide enough to hold multiple lamps. Fluorescent, incandescent, LED and halogen are some of the screw-in type lamps. Of these, fluorescent and LED do not release much heat, making them perfect candidates for lamp shades and table lamps.

Other medium base bulbs/lamps such as tubular, globe and torpedo are generally used for chandeliers and scones.
