There are many ways in which people can raise the value of their homes. For example, they can convert attics, make improvements to their kitchens and ensure their outside spaces are optimised. However, one of the most effective strategies is to enhance bathrooms, it has been suggested. One possible way of achieving this is to make changes to bathroom suites.

Commenting on the issues, Tom Spaeth, co-owner of Accent Contracting, stated: "Bathrooms are the hottest remodelling area in the country," In-Forum reports. The expert added: "They're running at about 75 to 80 per cent return on their investment."

Even when economic conditions are tough, consumers are still eager to have a nice bath, Mr Spaeth revealed. He went on to claim that customers will cut their expenditure in other areas so they can preserve their budgets for desirable bathroom suites and other such things.

Meanwhile, the specialist, along with Kayla Benning, interior designer at Accent and Amy Rothstein, showroom operations coordinator at Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery, identified some of the top trends in bathroom design. They said old-world finishes are in vogue, while brushed bronze is also a big hit.

On this, Ms Rothstein remarked: "It's unique. People are looking for statement pieces. It's not as kitchen-y looking."

Also popular are quartz countertops. While Granite may rule in the kitchen, quartz is perfect for bathroom vanities because it is harder and less porous, the panel pointed out.

The three professionals also said that power showers are a priority for many homeowners and open showers are also fashionable, along with multiple shower heads.

Ms Rothstein stated: "In the morning, some couples are too rushed to wait before someone else is done before they can get in the shower."

These days, in order to save time and possibly money, many individuals around the UK and in other countries are ordering bathroom items over the web.
