Batman Costume Secrets And Tricks
With the recent hit, Batman, The Dark Knight, it is no wonder that Batman Costumes
are really popular From the utlra cool Batman played by Christian Bale to the dorky Batman from the tacky 60's television series, you have a lot to choose from in becoming the Batman.
The beauty of the Batman series is that each year brings us a new Batman look. The later variations are usually black outfits, with less noticeable extras such as his utility belt and chest logo. The classic or older Batman looks are typically light blue and almost comical in nature. My preference is with the later versions... the Dark Knight look. I think the Christian Bale Batman was the coolest Batman costume yet.
For children, they're more than likely to be more informed about the Batman seen in the Dark Knight film - all black, plus a more armored look to the costume. And there's no sign of Robin in these movies, unless you remember the not-so-well-received "Batman and Robin" with George Clooney playing the part of the Caped Crusader.
Our biggest concern with childrens' costumes is that they are big enough to fit over their clothing and that they are visible enough to be worn at night. The fact that there is a mask makes it important that your child has the ability to see with clear vision. One of the problems with a Batman uniform for youngsters is that he wears a mask, thus it's vital that you make sure they can see plainly all around them even once the mask is on. They are going to be out walking around the streets when it's dark, so they really should be able to see what's around them. Particularly seeing as it's a dark uniform in the first place, so they are going to be less noticeable.
If you are trying to find an adult outfit, you probably have some more liberty in what you choose. You might even want to opt to rent it, because rental costumes are often significantly superior quality than something you can buy, unless you pay out a small fortune.
If you're attending a Halloween bash or a costume theme day at the office, you might do a Justice League theme, letting your guests go for their favorite super hero from all the well-known ones like The Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, etc. And some people might prefer the opposite side of the law, with outfits like The Scarecrow, The Joker or The Penguin.
Of course, you can always go down the 60's campy direction, and dress up as the Adam West Batman - and Robin if you have an accomplice to work with. You could dress your vehicle up as the first Batmobile as well, and make the theme whole.
There are actually a lot of places to obtain costumes, however you'll likely choose to do some searching online ahead of making your choice. There are actually a number of large costume web pages that boast much bigger selections than any costume shop may have. You can even get all the extras you might want at these web pages, and the extras often include that bit which makes a costume truly exceptional.
