Before starting my article I will like to say a few words about health.

Hot is not only looking the part,but a state of mind. You can only believe you are hot if yoyu love yourself,it's of key importance! Tip of the week : How to grow long,thick lashes

Some of us were blessed with thick lengthy eyelashes,for those of us who are not we often feel insecure about our sparse stubby lashes.DO NOT CRY! There are ways to grow back thick,long and healthy lashes.You may have seen products out there that claim to work wonders for your lashes such as Latise ,while these products may work for some people,its an expensive gamble if the product fails. So let's check out some cheaper options first,It certainly will not hurt.

In order to grow long thick lashes it's important to understand that lashes are just hair and respond the same way hair on your head would.Growth cycles may vary from person to person.When a eyelash falls out it is replaced by a new one.It's our job to make sure that the new growth has a healthy habitat.Below is a regimine that I have been following that has worked very well.

* Wear mascara as little as possible, mascara can tend to dry out the lashes and oftebn because they are hard or crispy while the mascara is on they are more fragile to breakage at that time.

* Wash your eye makeup off before bed time.It only makes since to wash up before bed.I have sensitive skin so I use a cold cream or dial soap to remove makeup.

*Take biotin,folic acid and flax seed oil...all of these vitamins aid in the growth of hai and cell regeneration.

*DO NOT EVER TRIM YOUR LASHES! You will lose length and it takes a month or two to grow back,they will not appear thicker.

* Before bed at night apply vaseline to your eyelashes,coating them from base to tip..this also works for eyebrows.

*Record your progress, after about a month you should be able to tell that your lashes are softer, darker ,filled in ,longfer and thicker.

*Wash the vaseline off in the morning.

I have have superior results with this and I can't keep this secret to myself!

Tip of the week - Lose 5 pounds in a week

With bikini season quickly approaching us, It's time to get on the ball and make sure our body's are beach ready..or at least pool side ready!

For some of us it's fairly easy to shed unwanted pounds, and for others it may be very difficult.

The key is learning how your personal metabolism works, this way we can give our body the fuel it needs to be a lean mean fat burning machine!

You may be already practicing a healthy diet , or not. Women on a diet should nopt consume more than 1,200 calories a day. A good way to easily keep track of your calorie intake is by using a daily calorie calculator, these can be found all over google. Personally I love using about.com's calorie counter, because you can enter any food..even fast food.

If you are already on a 1,200 cal diet and you are seeing moderate progress this is good, we do not need to loose weight too fast it is not healthy.

Losing 5 pounds in a week is debateable, just do what you think is right for you and set your goal for the week.Any sense of the matter , our concern is not only losing the weight but keeping it off.So below I have compiled a tip list for losing that stuborn weight and keeping it off,these tricks worked for me. I went from 130 pounds to 115 within a months time.

* Make sure that you are drinking the reccomended daily ammount of water!This is very importaint, although you may have temporary water weight gain, water actually flushes out the fat stored in our body.

* The beauty of antioxidants! Antioxidants help us get all the useless and harmfull crud out of our bodies and some scientist believe they may even help us destroy fat.Some tasty ways to get your daily antioxidant is by drinking green tea, acia berry juices such as v8 fusion! yummy stuff!There are also many herbal supplements that can be taken as a antioxidant.Blue berries are very high in antioxidants as well as other foods so do your research before you head down the shopping isle.

* Do not eat so much red meat! While steak and burgers are yummy , try to only eat red meat once a month.You still need meat in your diet so try switxhing to chicken and turkey.

* Eat the same thing each and every day! It sounds boring ,but if you are dedicated to kicking the pounds and keeping them off it does work! You do not litterally have to each the same preparation every day,but be sure to keep the same portions. For me I eat eggs and turkey bacon with toast in the morning (protien) , for lunch either a chicken sandwich or turkey with veggies or sun chips, or even a turkey dog , YUM! For dinner its chicken strips with steamed veggies or turkey pasta with steamed veggies.

* Give yourself a break! When you feel like this diet is getting boring, give yourself a break and have whatever you are craving in a small ammount! This is so we do not fall off the wagon! So if you been eating chicken all week and you are craving a burger, let yourself have it! Just be sure to get exercise and you shopuld be fine!


* Exercise! Ok so this seems like a "duh" but some people do not take the time to get up and get the workout they need daily.For me being confined to a computer makes it difficult to get my workout and I do not like working out in the home without a machine.If you ahve a machine,lucky ! go use it for at least 20 minutes a day! mE, I take the dog on a 40 minute walk around the neighborhood...the dog will protect me,motivate me to keep up with him and keep me from feeling like a awkwardly allone power walker.LOL

* Keep your mind busy! for some of us we eat when we get bored "ie the munchies".This can kill a diet regimine! Find something to keep your mind busy, read a book, clean the house , play a game ,make love to your man!

* Do not eat past 9pm...eating before bed time is a nono !

*last but not least , love your body! Be kind to your body, give it all the nutrients it needs and all the exercise.Do not starve yourself, you will just gain back what you lost so much faster.Maybe you have a buddy who can do this with you , and remember we may call it a diet but really it's just new way to live!
