Keeping yourself hydrated prevents dry skin and hair as well. Along with water, you can also try including more water dense foods into your diet. Nibble on fruits such as watermelon, grapes or kiwi fruit. These foods will help keep you hydrated, plus you'll get the added value of vitamins, minerals, proteins and other things your body needs to function and look good.

When it comes to diet, keep it rounded. Your body needs variety for both the inside and outside. Some people avoid protein for fear it will increase their weight. But protein is essential to grow strong hair and nails. Adding a good selection of breads, meats, vegetables and fruits to your diet will keep you looking and feeling your best.


If you really want to lose some weight, try a little exercise. Even if you are already slim, some physical activity gets your heart pumping, adding some colour to your cheeks and tone to your muscles. Adding exercise to your daily life is really quite simple. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. At the supermarket or mall, park on the outer perimeter and walk across the parking lot. Plant a garden, mend a fence or rake the leaves. You'll be pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to burn off fat and get your blood racing.

Finally, don't skimp on sleep. Your body needs at least eight hours of uninterrupted sleep to look and feel best. That means don't fall asleep with the television on, as this usually causes a person to semi-wake several times during the night. Get the rest you need and you'll never see morning-after bags under your eyes. Plus, your body will be energized and ready to take on the day.
