The logo for the XIX CWG2010 is chakra spiraling upwards to symbolize Indias growth in the present world. Delhi has been given a great look to host commonwealth games. The city-centre and Delhis main shopping area, Connaught Place, has been given a new faade. Rajpath, the main avenue in Lutyens Delhi, is being rejuvenated. The citys monuments, an integral part of the rich heritage of Delhis past, are being cleaned and renovated. Also you will see new international standard signage and bus shelters to add Delhis modern look with conveniences such as call booths, shopping areas.

The opening ceremony of commonwealth games 2010 is scheduled to be held at Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium on October 3rd which is expected to be a great opening event. Lots of celebrities from the world of sport and from Bollywood are expected to participate at this mega event. The sports that are going to be part of the CWG 2010 are: aquatics, archery, athletics, badminton, boxing, cycling, gymnastics, hockey, lawn balls, net balls, rugby seven, shooting, squash, table tennis, tennis, weight lifting and wrestling.
