The Fear of Speaking UP.

Fear, is one of the best defense systems we have, fear is what keeps us alive, basically it's our alarm signal. And also, one of the things that can stop us on our tracks from something we need to do, like speaking up for ourselves.

Whatever it is that causes those fears has to be resolved in order for us to voice our opinions, we can all be sure of ourselves and what we are capable of if we just decide to stand up for what we believe in.

I understand the sensation of your whole body being paralysed when you were asked to make a speech, or join a debate team. Everyone has their eyes fixed on you. And you feel like you have to deliver the greatest speech ever given, but your mouth is dry and you feel like a bowling ball is inside your stomach. I know! I've been there.

But fear is not going to stop me from saying what I really think is important, I know that if I don't express and voice my concerns they will not be heard. I have battled fear of speaking in public, and speaking up for myself. See, you have to understand that I was not always like this, as a kid I was bullied and started to hide away in my shell. I didn't want to be that kid anymore as a grown up, I didn't want just to back down anymore.
