Beaches in Santander

There are 9 beaches in Santander but none of these beaches have blue flag recognition.

El Camello is on the right of Pennsula de la Magdalena. A huge rock with a famous statue is on the left. This beach has golden sand and moderate waves. The beach length is 200 M and width 50 M.

El Sardinero is a popular beach. There is a lighthouse, concha beach, racing stadium and Magdalena Peninsula around this beach. This beach is well equipped in terms of services and facilities. There is a wide walkway and a park nearby. This beach has golden sand and strong waves. The beach length is 1300 M and width 80 M.

La Concha beach has all the necessary facilities and services. There is a casino. You can hire sunshades and loungers. From the walkway you get beautiful views of the golf club and buildings. This beach has golden sand and moderate waves. The beach length is 250 M and width 20 M.

Los Biquinis is situated in the Peninsula of Magdalena and located adjacent to the Magdalena Palace. Competitions for horse riding are organized near the beach. Bay of Santander water comes here. The Torre Island as well as Puntal beach are on the front whereas the Magdalena beach is on the right. Since the beach is guarded by a bay, the water remains calm. This beach has golden sand and calm waters. The beach length is 600 M and width 30 M.

Los Peligros has a sailing school and you can hire kayaks, craft and wind-surf boards. There is a beach bar near the sailing school and the area for bathing has been earmarked. Floating platforms are provided to facilitate sunbathing. People fish on the wharf nearby. This beach has golden sand and calm waters. The beach length is 200 M and width 26 M.

Magdalena is situated by the side of the Peninsula of Magdalena. A number of boats are anchored at the shore and there are several rafts in the water. Platforms are provided where people swim and take sunbath. There is a sailing school where you can learn the art of sailing. This beach has golden sand and calm waters. The beach length is 900 M and width 20 M.

Mataleas is one of the most beautiful beaches and has a lifeguard service. There is a 9 -hole golf course nearby. A walkway begins at this beach and runs along the golf club ending in El Sardinero. While walking on the promenade, you can get fantastic views of the Peninsula of Magdalena. This beach has golden sand and moderate waves. The beach length is 125 M and width 40 M.

Molinucos is situated next to Sardinero Beach and there is a golf course nearby. This beach has gravel and moderate waves. The beach length is 25 M and width 5 M.

Virgen Del Mar is popular for scuba diving because of its beautiful seabed. There is a lifeguard service. There is chapel nearby which has the same name as the beach. This beach has golden sand and moderate waves. The beach length is 100 M and width 40 M.
