So I drive a 2007 Nissan Altima

So I drive a 2007 Nissan Altima. Its not the sportiest of cars but it has a cvt tranny and has constant power. This means I drive fast all the time without even paying attention. The other day I was driving on the highway and really getting into my favorite song and just speeding along the way. Before I knew it BOOM I seen a police officer trailing me.

So I did what everyone else in the same situation would. Turned down the radio and started to panic. Sweat beeds coming down my forehead and gripping the steering wheel almost ripping it off. And then the magic happens. He turns his lights and and proceeds to pull me over. I never get in trouble but I am naturally paranoid of the police for some reason.

He proceeds to get out and get my info and then tells me I was going 95 in a 75 but he didnt use his speed gun. Only based his numbers on a visual. I think its just a way to pick on me. I know I was speeding but 95 is just crazy! I was pacing with other cars so if I was speeding then the whole highway was. So he writes up the ticket and comes back over to deliver the bad news. I read the ticket and get the pleasure of knowing my fine is 380.00!

For the next two days I was upset and felt helpless that this officer was about to rob me for almost 400 bucks and take away points on my driving record. I then get to thinking that he didnt have me on camera and he didnt use a laser gun. Could I beat it? Is a few minutes of my time in court worth saving myself 380.00 I could use on something else? Of course it is I am not a charity!

I know I am not going down without a fight so I jump online and look at any loopholes since there is not real proof. I looked over a book called Beat My Speeding Ticket and think to myself "I could read this book and have a chance or just pony up the money and let my insurance rates go up". I did what any other guy would do it started reading and studying the book as much as I could.

When court came around the corner I was prepared fully to battle. I knew what they were going to say and I fought the ticket. It took I believe 4 court appearances and roughly 2 hours of my time but sure enough I won. This felt like winning the lotto twice. No 400.00 ticket and my insurance rates stay the same. I see the officer once in a while and I still chuckle at him. He knows it too.
