Beautiful Skin, Beautiful Face

My sister came and helped me with my daughters wedding recently

. She was invaluable, doing all the side jobs, errands, arrangements and a thousand last minute things that I couldn't have handled on my own. I wanted to give her a special thank you before she flew home. I pondered all the obvious choices, flowers, candy, clothes, restaurant certificate, when the idea came to me to give her a facial from a local spa. I had never had one before the previous week. I wanted to do something for myself that was both pampering and maybe help peel back a few years for the wedding so I went to the spa here in town, talked with the master esthetician and scheduled myself a facial and light chemical peel combo. It was heaven, an experience unlike any other I had had. The choice was obvious, so I scheduled my sister a facial for the day before she flew back home.

The results were just what I had hoped. She was pampered, treated as a princess, and she loved every minute of it. I had never stepped foot into a spa before, but after that first experience I could sure get used to it!

Utah has esthetician school that produce well qualified technicians for the myriad of spas, beauty salons and doctors offices here. The girl that worked on me was very pleasant, she was friendly without being too prying; she was professional and put me at ease. Like I said, it was my first experience and if I had the money would go often.

The quest for the elusive fountain of youth is alive and well, we all would like to peel back the years of sun damage to our skin and look like the movie stars do. The quest to look young, feel young and act young is growing quickly. When I was young, moms were just moms; no one cared if they looked older. Now it is hard to tell the forty year olds from the sixty year olds. The science of younger, healthier looking skin is blooming with wonderful results. Maybe there isn't a fountain of youth but Utah estheticians can help make us look as if there were.
