Becoming Organized
Personal organization is the key to living a stress free life and a well-prepared life
. There will be plenty of paperwork making its way across your home office desk each week from bills to receipts to inspection notices and you cannot let disorganization get in the way of leading a successful life. Having personal organization in life is key to getting things done on time and having accurate bank records, receipts, and other home records. Being personally organized can take some time but if done properly it can lead to plenty of down time and a lot less stress.
When organizing your day, you should purchase a calendar or a daily organizer planner. This calendar will allow you to write down everything you need to do on a daily basis, including doctor's visits, classes, family gatherings and other events you need to attend during the day. In the planner, you can write down notes, phone numbers of important people, email addresses of important people and other needed information. Carry your personal organizer around with you wherever you go because you never might know when you need to reference it regarding a future appointment.
Personal organization just doesn't include getting all of your paperwork straightened out. Personal organization also includes planning your day accordingly, organize your garage, organize your bedroom, organize your closet and much more. If all of these areas can be organized to your liking then you will spend less time looking for certain items since they will be easier to find in an organized area. Being a productive person also includes mental organization. If you are not organized mentally then you will not be able to get things done on a daily basis. If you work for yourself, in your own home, you will have trouble getting work done if you are not personally organized.
The first thing to do when using a daily organizer planner in your life is to clean up your home. If there is clutter all over the house, you will need to organize this clutter first. Sift through all of the clutter and throw away or donate whatever is not necessary to your life or to the memories you have from your lifetime. All other items you intend to keep should be packed in a container and stacked neatly in your attic, garage, basement or storage room for future use. One way to get rid of clutter is to purchase a bunch of containers from a container store or department store. These containers can help you sort your clutter into different categories.
The next step in becoming personally organized is to file all of your paperwork into filing cabinets that are properly marked for receipts, bills, and other paperwork. This is a big step in becoming personally organized because your paperwork will not be sitting all over the counter or all over the table when people come over for a get together. Setting aside enough time to properly personally organize yourself will help to make the process a lot easier.
