Many styles also accommodate wheels, that is convenient if your bed frame has wheels on the ends of the feet. You may find these in plastic, wooden, and occasionally even steel varieties. The kind you decide on must be determined by your budget and your room decor. Ordinarily plastic is the most affordable, followed by steel and then wood. The wooden varieties are generally more aesthetically pleasing and hence they are the most expensive.

If you have a whole bed set including head board and base board, then you can also get brackets to hold the mattress higher than initially intended. These tend to be expensive, but these are a good alternative when you have a beautiful head board and base board that you want to continue to use. These also do not ruin the effect that the boards have, as you don't have to put anything underneath the wheels, which may be unattractive based on your bed set and the room decor.

While these two styles are common, there are many more out there for you to choose from. Another common type is referred to as a bed elevator, though it's essentially the same as the stacklable styles. These can not be stacked, but several times they are tall enough to not need to be stacked up.
