Want to become a model? Starting a modelling career will be a tricky one and you have to work hard to build a successful modelling career. First step into the modelling career is the preparation of modelling portfolio which is the essential investment. A portfolio which is also known as scrap book or photo album comprises of more than 10 photographs taken in different poses and outfits. When selecting photographs you should concentrate more on the quality than the quantity which includes head shot and full body shot.

Your photographs must be unique by wearing variety of outfits which suits you by adding both colour and black and white photos. Photos with same clothes should not be included.Make sure that your portfolio consists of photos taken by various photographers which will be an added advantage. This will make the modelling agency to understand that you are very comfortable to work with different persons which proves your versatility and style.

Composite card (comp card, index cards) is a mini portfolio that will definitely help you in a great way which is same as the business card. It consists of one head shot with your name typed in the front and the back your photos will be arranged in series which also describes your various details such as age, height, size, weight, contact information etc. It is an excellent tool with which you can get a best impression among the various competitors. You should make sure that it consists of quality pictures otherwise it will give reverse result while printing. Your modelling client will make use of this to market you in the fashion and advertising industry.
