He's thinking about her again and that last phone conversation he's had with her one late night.

"I'm in love with you, guitar man. You and your acoustic guitar. I cannot separate you two as one would not be complete without the other. I want to tell you now before I lose all the courage to do so.

I don't know how it started. I woke up one morning with the realization of being hit by lightning. I love you. And it's become difficult for me to see you each day, talk to you, listen to you without those feelings being evoked.

I want you to hold my hand and caress it the way you do with your guitar. I want you to embrace me with all the passion that you have for your music. I want you to look in to my eyes and tell me you love me. I want to be beautiful for you. I want to be the air that you breath. I want to be yours. Oh, the longings of a silly girl.

I know, to you, I am but a friend, a fan, a blur in an endless parade of faces.It doesn't matter that I linger a tad too long when you're around. It doesn't matter that I get dreamy when your hands dance through your guitar. It doesn't matter that I evaporate when you sing melodies of love.

You're a star. You belong to the stage. With that guitar of yours. You always have your cheering audience adoring you. Whilst I want to be everything for you, I know I could never be enough.

I can only hope that one day soon I'd forget you. I hope that the night will come when I don't have to wet the pillows with my tears. I hope that I one day I can let go of the picture I clutch close to my heart.
