. Job of an optician is also very challenging as in this you have to deal with new person and new tasks on daily basis. To make your job interesting and deal effectively with clients you must have good communications and interpersonal skills as well as knowledge.

Most of the people cannot choose frames for their glasses and many other things are also difficult to select. Opticians help clients in various things like choosing the frame of eyes wear, making glasses or contact lenses and many other things according to the requirement.

The most important role of the opticians is to improve the eye vision of the clients, fulfill their requirements and needs by suggesting right lenses or glasses. It is not limited only to taking order for eyeglasses and contact lenses, but also suggesting right lenses. There are many tasks done by the opticians, but some of the tasks are listed below:

1.The first and an important thing that an optician takes the details of the required eyeglasses from the customer and designs the eyeglasses according to clients desired style and pattern.

2.Opticians suggest right lenses or glasses to the client suitable to their face and personality.

3.They take measurement of the person's bridge and eye size, vertex distance, length of the temple and they prepare lenses according to perception.

4.Maintaining the record of the client and managing it on the daily basis and giving the right treatment and perceptions for eyes.

5.In case a client does not have a prescription, a licensed optician can conduct an eye test and recommend the required power for the lenses.

6.Handle all general administrative activities like taking phone calls, answering the client's queries.

7.They also repair the old eyeglasses.

8.Opticians are always aware about the new updates regarding new frames, lenses or glasses.

There are some requirements to become an optician. Normally a high school diploma is enough, but some time you must have a medical degree. You also need to get a diploma or an associate degree in ophthalmic dispensing or optometry technology which includes physics, biology, geometric optics and ophthalmic optics. Some time opticians hire people who have no experience in this field but they generally provide training on-the -job, which is enough for those people. Opticians have a license and this license needs to be renewed every three years. If you get an experience of few weeks or months, then you can easily get this job.
