Being Shy Should Not Be A Reason To Avoid Women

I definitely know what it is like to feel shy when you are around females

. For a long, long time, that is exactly the way that I felt. It was so bad, that I used to try and avoid any situation that made me feel that shy and you know what that meant? It meant that I ended up avoiding situations where I would be around women even when I really wanted to have a girlfriend pretty badly. If you have been doing the same thing and purposely avoiding situations where you would have to be around women because you are shy and you get self conscious of that shyness, pay close attention.

Not matter what, you can't allow that to rationalize why you should stay away from situations where you have to be around women. There is only one outcome that you are going to end up with if you do that, and that is... feeling lonely and feeling like you really want to have someone at the same time. That is not a good way to feel.

Just because you happen to be shy around women, that doesn't mean that you can't end up attracting a girlfriend. Plenty of shy guys DO end up being in a relationship and some of them end up with girlfriends that would make most guys jealous. What you have to learn to do is to push yourself to put yourself in situations where you feel uncomfortable and shy so that eventually you don't feel that way anymore.

Don't expect that this is something that you can tackle overnight. You probably can't and won't. However, in time you might find that you end up feeling totally different. Today, most people wouldn't have a clue that I used to be one of those guys who was too shy to approach a woman I liked. Today, most guys think that I have the kind of courage that they want to have. However, that did not happen for me overnight.

It took time. What started it all, though, was the simple realization that as long as I avoided situations that made me feel uncomfortable was keeping me lonely and keeping me wanting more. When you want more like I did, you have to just motivate yourself to move forward and do what feels uncomfortable. Of course, along the way you should learn a few things here and there about what it is that attracts a woman, because it is so much easier to let go of that shyness that you might have when you know that you can make a woman feel attracted to you.
