Being an Extra Extrovert
Yes, I am an extrovert. Expressing my inner most thoughts comes to me so naturally. The thoughts flow and so do the words. Happy or sad, reflective or superficial-any situation brings me to one outlet-jetting off my thought. I don't care if you need my opinion or not. But, I never think that you may not need my views and that is what makes me an extrovert. I may be horribly wrong with my opinion about an extrovert but this is how I identify myself as one of them
However, at times I feel tired of all the talking and socializing and still my thoughts pops out of me like popcorns from a popcorn-maker. The trail of thoughts at times gets entangled, but still I think and express. Going out, meeting different people and exchanging views are my favourite activities and to me, killing one's expressions is the greatest crime.
But, the discussion doesn't end here. Most important thing about my being an extrovert is that I express myself differently to different people. For example, to some I am a feminist, to some I am a needy woman or at times I portray myself as an intellectual and at times I am the most complex person on earth. A few read me so easily and a few find me stupid. And the reason? This is the way I present myself to different set of circles so that no one knows the real me. When I sit back and reflects on this (in some rare moment of solitude!), I realize that in this game of expressing myself I have somewhere buried my true self. Yes, I am very much aware of it and still I can't help presenting my different selves lest the word finds out the innermost feelings.
Pardon me for trying to be an amateur Freudian; I feel this trait of mine in a way makes me a true introvert. The introvert who guards her innermost feelings the most intriguing way! I am as reclusive as a few of my closest friends who draw a fine line between their social and private life. I don't know, if my being an undercover introvert makes me a hypocrite or not but this is how I see myself. In my defence I would say, I never present a fake self (just that I have got many) and at least one person in my life knows at least one truth about me. Hopefully, that doesn't make a hypocrite of me. Call it my orientation or my choice, I just choose to filter my expressions depending upon the audience.
If you think, I didn't make any sense with piece at all than it's your fault. I just chose to filter a few things may be and that you will never know.
P.S- The tone of this piece was totally ironical and it wasn't intended to make any strong statement regarding this sensitive topic.
