Benadryl is composed of Acetaminophen, Diphenhydramine and Phenylephrine drugs. Acetaminophen is used as a reliever of pain and fever. Diphenhydramine is anti-histamine and helps in reducing the excess production of chemical known as histamine. Excess production of histamine can cause sneeze, itchy, wet eye and running nose. Phenylephrine reduces the contraction of the blood vessels in the airway of the nose and allows the air to flow freely. Benadryl is used for the treatment of congestion of sinus, sneeze, itchy of nose, sore throat, blocked nose, cough problem, head pain, fever and cold.
