Benefits Of Being A Virtual Assistant
Virtual assistants or VA is someone who has special support skills like those of
a secretary or executive assistant in an office or even a bookkeeper who is specialized in making a small business operate smoothly. The VA is never present physically in an office and can only be contacted through the different gadgets like cell phones or beepers, and of course through the internet with the use of the different communication or messenger applications that are available for free. The benefits include:
Independence - There is freedom from having to deal with in office intrigues which can overshadow all other common causes of stress. Also, the number of hours working is dependent only on what the VA is willing to work on. No one can force them to extend their number of hours. They only work on what they agree upon, so if they are off at two in the afternoon, they are off and the company cannot tell them otherwise.
Being their own boss - The VA may be working for a company or a particular boss, but they are also bosses in their own right. They can have several VA working for them in their own VA business and can accommodate several companies all at the same time. They can actually work for more than three companies at any given time; they only arrange their schedules so there are no overlaps. With their independence and flexibility, they can actually refuse to work for a company without fear of repercussions; there are always other companies on the waiting list waiting for their turns.
Freedom to stay home and work from there - Those who have young children or are handicapped can still work from their home offices. A handicapped individual that cannot be physically present in an office are most likely never hired even if they beg to be hired. But as a VA, they get the same and sometimes even get paid higher and they don't have to get out of the house.
VA will only do the work that they like - If they are in an office they have no choice if they are told to do some tasks which they don't like to do, as a VA they can immediately deny a certain task. Setting the work hours according to their own schedule - There are some who work best at night, some who work best during the day. Because of these individualities, there are companies who actually hire VAs who can work off office hours which can cover a 24/7 schedule if there is someone else who can do the day shift. Some VA companies will offer the 24/7 service if they have personnel who likes to work on night shifts.
