Benefits Of Online Marketing
Marketing online is allowing companies all around the world to stretch their dollar
further and expand their budget in other area because of the money saved online. Internet marketing brings many benefits that are simply not available with traditional networking methods.
The first benefit is that you can change things quickly and easily. With traditional media, you only get one chance at a press conference, or you have to send out the material weeks in advance for a magazine article, or you need one direct quote the night before for a newspaper article.
All of these examples show that you have one chance to say this one thing and if you mess up or need to revise that's too bad because it's already on its way to the printers. In other words, you can't change anything last minute, once it's done it's done.
On websites and blogs, you have the ability to change anything at any time you want. So if you put out a slogan on your email newsletters, websites and blogs, but a few weeks later you realize it was not as effective as you would have like it to be; you can simply go online and change everything, with a the touch of a few buttons and it's fixed.
This is just not possible with traditional media. Online marketing makes sure that you are in charge of what goes out there on behalf of your company. You are not at the mercy of journalists, printers, or television producers.
The second benefit to hitting the web is the fact that you can track real-time results. The web has so many tools that are available, at no cost, to just about everyone who wants to access them from any computer, anywhere in the world.
You can use online analytics to track how your company is doing is different areas, for different demographics, at what time of day. All of this information is available to you on a minute-to-minute basis; meaning you can keep an eye on and adjust to any progress or short comings.
Traditional media cannot be measured. You cannot know how many people looked at your ad in a magazine, you will never know exactly how many people saw your billboard, but you can know how many people viewed you webpage, how long they stayed on it, and how many of them went to your site from a link on another site.
The information is endless on the web, and it is all available to you to keep a close eye on your company and how the publics are responding to your message.
The third benefit is you can target specific demographics online. If you print something in a magazine, newspaper, billboard poster, or create a commercial; you don't know who will see you message. Online, however, you can target certain genders, age, location, income level, educational experience, and even different professions.
You can post your ad on social networking sights, and have them only be shown on the profiles and web pages of people in Denver, Colorado, between the ages of 25-40. All you have to do is say that that is what you want and it will happen-traditional media just cannot have that kind of accuracy and precision.
The fourth benefit is there are so many different outlets of marketing online. You can choose to employ the use of audio clips, video, blogging, email, social media, newsletter, banner ads, pop-ups, etc. All of these opportunities are out there for your use and benefit, and most of them are free of charge.
You can create a blog, have several social networking sites, send out mass emails, post newsletters, put up video on YouTube-all of this for free. You can save a whole lot of time, money, and space by going to the web for your marketing and advertising needs.
The final benefit is instant conversion ability. When you use billboards, magazine, posters, television, or radio, you may reach an audience, but how will you make a call to action. Online, it is a few simple click of the mouse and you get a sale, but traditionally you have to convince your customer to get in the car, go to the store, and then find the item and make the purchase.
It's just too many steps and the odds are it's just not going to happen because people want things instantly and online is the only way to get that kind of satisfaction. Overall, internet marketing is the most effective, cost efficient way to get your company's message out to the masses.
