Having the lights off or low is your choice or you can have bright light, every consideration is up to you to make the experience of movie watching enjoyable. You will have the place to yourself and eat a pizza or sub while you are enjoying the movie.

Having home movie nights are very cost effective too because renting a Blu-ray or DVD is significantly cheaper than spending for a movie ticket and the extras you get there. In addition you are in control and can back up or pause the movie if you need to do that. If you miss a piece of dialog or action instead of having to ask the person sitting next to you, you can just rewind it.

You need at least three main components to make this home theater a reality. You need a decent HD television. Whether it is LCD, plasma or DLP is up to your individual preference. They all offer a good picture and their own benefits, much too much to list here. Once the television question is answered, you have to have some sort of surround sound system. You have a couple of choices in that regard, you can go with a simple sound bar system or as elaborate as a 7.1 surround sound system. If you are going for the best sounding and most awesome set-up, then you have to go full 7.1. The set-up has seven speakers and is the best way to hear a Blu-ray movie. Finally get a Blu-ray player to show the movies, no questions here.
