Several previous idols have even found their sound and image on the show. Their appearance and experience with American Idol has led them to having their American music recorded.

Another winner that has had award winning success and is considered the most decorated talent from the American music show is Carrie Underwood. Her main music focus has been Country and she has found major success with her efforts. She has sold over 12 million albums during the few years she has worked to be in the spotlight.

American music has been influenced by the contestants surrounding this reality competition. It was determined in early 2010 that 47 million albums were sold by those how have competed in this show. The American music presented has been identified as a wonderful experience allowing American talent to become discovered and start their career.
