Best Defense Against Dog Bites

Over 5 million Americans every year are attacked and bitten by a dog

. Nearly 1,000,000 of those require hospitalization. For those of us who enjoy walking everyday, rain or shine the threat of a dog attack looms large in their lives.

I have been attacked twice and trust me when I tell you that the fear and anxiety of seeing a dog running up to you sends chills up and down my spine. Most dogs, it is true, are friendly and only want a pat on the head. But you never know! When they start growling 15 feet away on the run it's too late.

Cyclists, runners and walkers don't have much sympathy for dog owners or dogs that run around loose in violation of city and state leash laws.

The telescopic stun baton saved me on those two occasions. But now I carry a pepper gun as my best defense against dog bites. It shoots out to 25 feet away making it the longest range self defense product in the world. It uses oleoresin capsicum or OC for short which is a derivative of cayenne pepper.

The pepper gun uses an advanced delivery system that allows the gun to be shot from any angle. The replaceable canisters have enough OC in them for seven 25 foot shots making it perfect for defending against multiple attackers-human or animal.

The gun comes with a test water cartridge so you can get used to shooting that distance and an LED light built-in that allows for better aim.
