Price should never be the deciding factor, but let's be honest, it does have a bearing. At the low-end you can get French learning software for ten or twenty dollars. Is it comprehensive though or will it leave you needing to buy more? At the top-end, CD and DVD courses can be $300 plus. Is that value for money? Then there are direct French software downloads. They have comparable content to the expensive systems but because you download them straight to your computer they are a fraction of the price. Well worth considering.
